Not everyone has time to die. Yael did. Yael didn’t use her time for ‘bigger than life’ experiences. Rather, she dived head first into the depths of the soul, and took a long, clear look at the fear of death. What she saw there, she passed on to Mia her daughter and Rani her partner, who are left to continue their lives. The film moves between then and now, between life and death, where there is clarity to see what is important.
About the Speakers
Talia (Tulik) Galon is an Israeli director known for her work in the field of film and television. She has directed several projects, particularly in the documentary and television genres. While not as widely known internationally, she has made a name for herself in the Israeli entertainment industry, focusing on stories that highlight social issues and human experiences.
Her work often explores themes of identity, culture, and personal journeys, resonating with audiences both in Israel and abroad. Some of her notable works include documentaries and other narrative projects that address important social topics.
Jasmine Kainy is an Israeli filmmaker who has been nominated 11 times by the Israeli Academy Awards (Ophirs) and has directed more than 20 documentary films, series, and investigative docs. She is also a lecturer at Hebrew University and at the International Program at Reichman University.
